Elaine (she/her) is an author, political advisor, women’s advocate and spiritual thought leader and teacher and is a direct descendant of hereditary chiefs, Pelkamulaxw and Soorimpt.

Elaine is the author of the new book, Calling My Spirit Back, which she wrote after travelling across British Columbia to 12 different areas of our province to talk about the hard realities in our communities around safety for Indigenous women and girls. 

This event will feature an author reading of excerpts from  Calling My Spirit Back and a conversation between Elaine and fellow CCPA-BC board member Matthew Norrris (member of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band and vice-president of the Urban Native Youth Association), followed by a Q&A session from the audience.

When: September 22, 2020, 6:00-7:00 PM (Pacific Standard Time)
