Corporate Mapping Project research briefing in Victoria

Big oil, gas and coal corporations wield tremendous power. Together with lobby groups, think tanks, pro-oil politicians, big banks and others, the fossil fuel industry is obstructing the transition we must urgently make to a zero-carbon future.

The Corporate Mapping Project aims to help level the playing field. We launched the project in 2015 and since then have been hard at work investigating the power and influence of the fossil fuel industry in Western Canada and beyond.

Jointly led by the University of Victoria, the CCPA’s BC and Saskatchewan offices, and the Alberta-based Parkland Institute, the CMP brings together an exciting team of researchers and partners from across Canada, the US and Europe. At this event for CCPA-BC supporters, you'll hear from a number of the key people involved about the exciting work they’re doing.
