Hot off the press BC Budget briefing

Join us for a special event for CCPA supporters in Victoria—just hours after the release of the 2018 BC Budget.

This is the new BC government's first full budget, and we are expecting to have a lot to discuss. How will the Budget compare to what we shared with the government in our submission? What actions will they take to tackle the crises of affordability, inequality, poverty and environmental degradation that we face in BC? And what happens next?

BC needs bold, transformative change, and the resources are available. And on BC Budget Day, we'll get a clear indication of whether the government is prepared to think big and advance the fearless progressive agenda BC so desperately needs.

This event will feature Iglika Ivanova, a senior economist and our public interest researcher; Ben Parfitt, our resource policy analyst; Alex Hemingway, our public finance analyst; and Jean Kavanagh, our media and publications manager. Alex, Iglika and Jean will be coming straight from the BC Budget lockup.

Be among the first to hear from them after they learn what the next BC Budget has in store—and please feel welcome to bring guests who might be interested in issues around social, economic and environmental justice.

There will be time for questions and discussion.
